YES WE DID!!!! Our new President! President Elect Barack Obama! It is unbelievable! Change is coming - hope has returned - pride in our President returns - our image to the rest of world all of a sudden has changed!!! For the better! :) And what a beautiful, down-to-earth First Family they are going to make. A beautiful First Lady and cute, unspoiled kids who are just normal little kids looking forward to getting a puppy!! :) And a husband/father whose love for them shows! And the love and caring he and Michelle display is heartwarming! It is all truly AMAZING!!!! It's a new day!
When I was a kid my grandparents used to have all this John F Kennedy stuff around the house, rugs, plates, etc. And I thought how can anyone be such a dork to to be that in love with a President?
I thought it represented something that had changed forever. Just ended.
Yeah, Jeff, I now get it too... Amazing that we've had the chance to be a part of this. And actually, it's extraordinary, because I've seen a lot of older folks get involved who hadn't been involved much after the Kennedys. For the first time in a long time, we have someone capable of inspiring the masses to act.
And I totally "get it" now also! It is truly amazing! And exciting! I can't get enough of the Obamas!! :) And Barack Obama is so Presidential looking! He has it all! Charisma, humility, intelligence - the list just goes on and on! And it is correct - this excitement and hope hasn't happened since Kennedy.
Ok, this was funny. So, I was watching South Park. :-D Apparently, the whole election was a conspiracy theory between Obama and McCain and their professional thief group to steal the Hope Diamond. The side story was funny, too. :-D
