name that bush


Can you identify this plant? I found it to be quite striking with its red branches.

It's Cornus alterniflora - it's a dogwood that grows in wet areas - how did you soo know that I was going to answer your questions :)

It's one of my absolutely favorite shrubs and its even pretty in the winter time!

I changed my mind :) If you want the specific scientific name it's cornus stolinifera - the red-osier dogwood :)
